workout description

"3 Rounds – Run, Jump, Push, Repeat"

Simple movements, savage effect. This 3-rounder is a classic engine builder that keeps the intensity high and the breaks short.

Each round includes:

400m Run (fast feet or suffer later)
20 Box Jumps (bounce, land, try not to trip)
400m Run (again? oh yes.)
20 Push-Ups / Hand-Release Push-Ups / HSPU (pick your level, they all burn)
Then: 1 minute rest before the next round.

This one hits your cardio, legs, shoulders, and soul — expect the second run to feel twice as long and the push-ups to feel twice as heavy.

What is a "for time" workout?

A for time workout is a classic CrossFit format where the goal is to complete a set list of exercises as fast as possible. Your time becomes your score, making each for time CrossFit workout a race against the clock — and yourself.

In a typical for time workout, you'll perform a fixed number of reps or rounds of movements (e.g., squats, push-ups, burpees, or barbell lifts) and finish them as quickly as you can while maintaining good form. This format pushes you to work hard, manage fatigue, and develop both conditioning and mental toughness.

Why Try a "For Time" CrossFit Workout?

  • Builds intensity and urgency into your training

  • Encourages better pacing, efficiency, and recovery awareness

  • Easy to track progress over time — beat your previous score!

  • Works well for individual or group competition-style workouts

Whether you're doing a short sprint or a long chipper, the for time CrossFit workout format is a powerful way to test your limits and stay motivated in your training.

What kind of exercises are in this workout?

  • hand-release push-up

The handstand push-up is a high-skill bodyweight movement that builds shoulder strength, balance, and core control. Common in advanced handstand push-up workouts, it challenges your upper body like few other movements.

In this workout, handstand push-ups develop pressing power and gymnastic control under fatigue. Whether performed strict or kipping, the handstand push-up is a true test of body awareness and upper body stamina.

  • Box jump

The box jump is a plyometric movement that builds explosive power, coordination, and lower body strength. It’s a key component in many high-intensity box jump workouts, often used to develop speed, agility, and stamina.

In this workout, box jumps challenge your legs, core, and cardiovascular system, while also training quick reaction and balance. Whether performed at a moderate pace or in sprint intervals, the box jump is a powerful tool for improving athletic performance.

  • push up

The push-up is a foundational bodyweight movement that strengthens the chest, shoulders, triceps, and core. A staple in any push-up workout, it’s effective, scalable, and requires no equipment — making it perfect for all fitness levels.

In this workout, push-ups develop upper body endurance, stability, and control, especially under fatigue. Whether performed strict, hand-release, or elevated, the push-up is a timeless movement that builds strength and resilience.

  • running

Running is one of the most effective ways to build cardiovascular endurance, leg strength, and mental toughness. A foundational element in many running workouts, it adds intensity and pacing challenges to both short sprints and longer distances.

In this workout, running boosts your engine, footwork, and recovery capacity, especially when paired with strength or skill-based movements. Whether you're hitting meters or minutes, running is essential for building a well-rounded fitness base.
